Project Overview: 

Waterloo Region’s Vital Signs animated video is an infographic based production that we created for The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation.

Waterloo Region’s Vital Signs is an annual community checkup through which The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation measures the vitality of the Region, identifies significant trends, and invites community supporters to assign grades in 11 key areas critical to Waterloo Region’s quality of life.

In previous years, The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation published the Vital Signs report in paper form. After producing this style of report for a number of years, they wanted to distribute the report through a different medium. They decided to go with an animated video as the styling of the animation would be in the same fashion as the previous reports.

Our task was to create a captivating Vital Signs animated video, using icons and infographics to tell the Vital Signs story. Our animation team created a video that brought each icon and infographic to life. We animated people walking, graphs moving, buildings and houses growing, and much more.

The Vital Signs animated video received a wide range of positive feedback and The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation and their partner organizations have been excited to distribute this to their networks.
